Below I have added some content and links for some of my favorite music.

BANDS and Musicians |

The Grateful Dead - I was
introduced to this band by my brother Mike. Since then I have come to the
conclusion that Jerry Garcia is probably one of the VERY best guitarists
to have ever lived... (my personal opinion). Anyway, if you get a chance
to listen to some of their stuff you may find that you are a closet
Deadhead. Bob Weir and Rat Dog I went to a Valentines day show at the Fillmore. Click here to go to that page. There are some video clips there as well. - The Kid |

Common Sense Band - While attending
Orange Coast College, taking fundamentals of music theory I met Nick
Hernandez. We studied, partied and Jammed together though I was more into
Rock and Blues and he's a Reggae type of guy but very cool and as it turns
out, very talented. I lost touch with Nick but one night while flicking
through the channels I saw a video with Nick and found out he was in this
band. I started looking for a chance to catch up with them... I finally
heard about a concert at a club in Anaheim and got tickets... The first
two bands sucked pretty bad and I was so hoping that Nicks band wasn't
going to be of the same caliber. From the beginning it was clear that they
definitely did not suck. In fact they are really good. I have tried to see
them any chance I get and I would recommend that you do to... They are
playing in San Diego on New Year's Eve and I am going to try to make that
show... hope to see ya there. In the meantime you can hear some of their
music at My Space. - The Kid |

Chambers Brothers - After returning from the Philippines in 1969 we moved to the
Monterey area and the first U.S. Rock Concert I went to there was supposed to have been "Canned
Heat"... they cancelled. Word was "Delaney & Bonnie and
Friends" was going to be the headline act but that fell through. When we
got there the announced that and then said "All we could get for you is
"The Chambers Brothers!" That concert changed my life and the way I
viewed music. I have recently done some browsing and found their web site and
some other stuff which I am going to post links to. They have a MySpace profile
and a video clip on YouTube. At their web site the Home page plays "People
Get Ready" and the "Reunited" page plays "Time Has
Come Today". (This is a longer version than is played in the video on
MySpace). |
